Universit de Lyon > Research

The Université de Lyon, through its member and associated institutions (universities, grandes écoles and research centers), conducts high-quality research works in all fields of knowledge: life sciences, exact and formal sciences, humanities and social sciences.

Research at the Université de Lyon has a major social and economic impact, and builds international recognition thanks to the site's LabEx (Laboratories of Excellence) and EquipEx (Equipment of Excellence). These structures are labelled and consolidated by the "Investments for the Future" program (Programmes Investissements d'Avenir), through three strategic domains:
  • Bio Health and Society
  • Science and Engineering for Sustainable Society
  • Urbanity and Humanities
